Museum of the American GI News

In April the Museum of the American GI is joining with Old Tyme Wonderland at the Festival of Yesteryear.

Old Tyme Wonderland announces Bluebonnets & Bluegrass - A Festival of Yesteryear.

Four Weekends of Food, Fun & Festivities for the Whole Family

World-class family entertainment is coming to the Brazos Valley during the weekends of April, 2012 in the form of a festival that harkens back to a time where strong families and strong values shaped America. BLUEBONNETS & BLUEGRASS, A FESTIVAL OF YESTERYEAR brings National Headliner Bluegrass Acts, unique shopping, nostalgic foods, and a heart-warming step back in time each Saturday and Sunday throughout April.

Scott Medlin and his family, the proprietors of OLD TYME WONDERLAND, have been providing wholesome entertainment for the past 15 years with the holiday favorite, Santa’s Wonderland. OLD TYME WONDERLAND, located on the same site as Santa’s Wonderland, just a few miles south of College Station on Highway 6, is the next step in the Medlin’s vision of taking guests back to a simpler time. "We believe people will enjoy a family outing that reminds us of why America is great and how she became great," says Medlin. "Bluegrass music, antique cars, living history and a World War II exhibit featuring a one-of-a-kind collection of American military vehicles and memorabilia by our friends at the Museum of the American GI, will be on display and much, muchmore. All of these things are timeless pieces of America that we want to remember, honor and celebrate with our families."
